About the Role
This is a Per Diem, Rotate position.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement of routine and cerebral silence, STAT and outpatient EEG recordings.
- Assisting physician in performing exercise and pharmacological stress tests.
- Patient preparation, including lead placement, patient instruction, and education.
- Monitoring patients throughout procedures and observing for changes in patient condition.
- Participating in report generation, charting, and delivery of reports to staff assistant for processing.
- Performing routine EKG’s upon successful completion of competencies.
- Scanning holters if competency is demonstrated in rhythm recognition.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- EKG proficiency.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following: routine and cerebral silence, STAT and outpatient EEG recordings.
- Computer knowledge/experience.
- Excellent communication skills among co-workers, hospital staff, and physicians.
Qualifications
- EDUCATION:
- Minimum: High School diploma or Equivalent.
- Preferred: Associate’s degree in physical or biological science.
- Experience:
- Prefer one (1) year previous hospital experience, but will train.
- Prefer certified EKG tech/course or EEG course.
- Required Certification/Licensure/Registration:
- AHA BLS certification required.
- AHA ACLS required for stress testing.
