Junior Accountant

About the Role

A Business Studio, founded in 2021, supports organizations in scaling through an integrated ecosystem of services. The company offers vetted staffing, financial strategy, and operational consulting to streamline workflows and improve efficiency. This is a full-time, on-site Junior Accountant role based in the Greater Delhi Area.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including posting journal entries, updating ledgers, and reconciling bank statements.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare invoices.
• Track expenses.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare basic financial reports.
• Support tax and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with senior finance and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate financial data.
• Follow established accounting procedures.
• Maintain organized documentation.
• Contribute to process improvements.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets).
• Exposure to ERP or cloud-based accounting tools is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including bookkeeping, ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to maintain organized financial records and documentation.
• Basic understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with Indian accounting standards is beneficial.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with finance, operations, and client-facing teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Pursuing or holding relevant certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent) is a plus.
• Willingness to learn, adapt to new tools and processes.
• Maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality in handling financial information.
