About the Role
SLR Consulting is seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team working on roadway, traffic, and infrastructure projects for public and private clients. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on design experience, learn from experienced engineers, and contribute to practical, real-world transportation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analysis and prepare design calculations
- Prepare contract documents, including plans, specifications, and estimates
- Perform quality review of highway and traffic design calculations and contract documents
- Develop engineering details and construction plans using MicroStation or AutoCAD
- Ensure government standards in designs, including materials used and structural elements
- Participate in meetings with clients and project team members
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation required
- Problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to understand and integrate information to advance projects from origination to implementation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
- 0 to 3 years' experience in the field of Transportation Engineering
- Internship experience preferred
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred
