Software Engineer - Intern (AI-First & GenAI Focus)
About the Role
Wayfair is transforming e-commerce operations with an AI-First approach, leveraging Generative AI and machine learning to enhance the customer experience. This role involves working on applications, web services, and data systems that impact millions of daily visitors. Interns will contribute to teams focusing on areas like Search & Recommendations, Storefront, Supply Chain, Marketing Technology, ML Platforms, and Global Supplier Tech.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate AI-assisted tools and GenAI workflows throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from design and code generation to automated testing and deployment.
- Build scalable, future-ready solutions that directly impact the business, suppliers, and global customer base.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Currently enrolled in the 7th semester of a full-time B.E./B.Tech program in Computer Science.
- Available for an internship during the 8th semester.
- Strong academic track record.
- Passion for emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and software engineering.
- Exposure to or experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++).
- Familiarity with full-stack, mobile, or cloud development, as well as web technologies (SQL, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Python).
- Enthusiasm for leveraging GenAI tools.
- Strong autonomy, problem-solving ability, ownership mindset, and excellent communication skills.
