Remote Full Stack Developer Intern

About the Role

We are looking for developers who want to work on real software, understand its end-to-end functionality, and improve by shipping actual features. You will work across the application, from the user interface to the backend logic, APIs, and databases. Expertise in every part of the stack is not required; fundamentals, learning ability, and the drive to take a feature from idea to implementation are prioritized. AI coding tools are used in our development workflow, and you should be comfortable using them to increase speed, while also being able to question their output, debug issues, and explain the code.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and improve features for web applications, working across frontend and backend as needed.
• Develop usable interfaces and connect them to backend APIs.
• Work with databases, data models, authentication, and third-party services.
• Investigate bugs, write tests, and enhance the reliability of existing features.
• Utilize AI coding assistants to explore codebases, accelerate implementation, and solve problems while maintaining code quality.
• Use Git, submit code for review, and integrate feedback.
• Deconstruct larger problems into smaller tasks and independently deliver working results.
• Collaborate with the team to translate product requirements into practical technical solutions.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in programming fundamentals in at least one language, such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.
• Understanding of how web applications function, including HTTP and APIs.
• Basic familiarity with Git and databases.
• Ability to learn new tools, troubleshoot errors, and persevere through challenges.
• Interest in using AI tools effectively for development speed and productivity.
• Willingness to take ownership of your work and articulate technical decisions.
• Professional experience or framework mastery is not required. Personal projects, college projects, open-source contributions, and self-built projects are all valued.

Good to Have

• Experience with frameworks like React, Next.js, Django, FastAPI, or Node.js.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Experience integrating APIs or building and deploying web applications.
• Exposure to AI APIs, LLM applications, or workflow automation.

These are considered advantages, not mandatory requirements.

Evaluation Criteria

Candidates will be assessed based on demonstrated project work, problem-solving approaches to unfamiliar issues, and understanding of produced code (including AI-assisted code). A small practical task or a project walkthrough may be part of the selection process.

The ideal candidate is curious, dependable, comfortable learning through practice, and capable of transforming clearly defined tasks into functional software.
