Teaching Assistant

About the Role

Geethanjali High School is seeking a full-time, on-site Teaching Assistant in Secunderābād. This role involves supporting classroom teachers in delivering lessons, preparing learning materials, and reinforcing key concepts, especially in mathematics and language.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with classroom management.
• Guide small groups or individual students.
• Supervise students during activities.
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive learning environment.
• Work closely with children to support their academic progress, social-emotional development, and positive behavior.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff.
• Participate in school events as needed.
• Follow school policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability in Assistant Teaching and supporting classroom instruction.
• Strong Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and staff.
• Background or interest in Education and child development.
• Comfort and proficiency in Mathematics to assist with lessons and student practice.
• Experience or aptitude for Working With Children in a school or similar setting.
• Completion of secondary education.
• A diploma or degree in Education or related field is an advantage.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to support learners of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
• Ability to follow guidance from lead teachers, manage time effectively, and adhere to school policies.
