About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site Chartered Accountant Articleship role. The trainee will assist in statutory audits, tax audits, internal audits, and related assurance engagements. The role offers exposure to varied industries and complex assignments in a professionally driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, fieldwork, documentation, and reporting for audits and assurance engagements.
- Prepare working papers.
- Review financial statements.
- Support tax return preparation.
- Assist with GST, income tax, and other regulatory compliances.
- Conduct research on accounting, auditing, and taxation matters.
- Draft client communications.
- Maintain orderly files and records.
- Gain practical exposure to client meetings and process reviews.
- Adhere to professional and ethical standards.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic accounting or ERP software.
- Willingness to learn new tools.
Qualifications
- Registered as a Chartered Accountancy student with ICAI and eligible to commence or continue articleship.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and basic auditing concepts.
- Interest in taxation (direct and indirect), compliance, and regulatory frameworks relevant to Indian businesses.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret financial and tax information.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work diligently on-site, manage time effectively, and handle multiple assignments under guidance.
- Professional attitude, integrity, and commitment to learning.
- Prior internship or practical exposure in audit, accounts, or taxation will be an advantage.
