Job Title: Relationship Manager - Business Banking (C&I focus)
About the Role
- Business Banking Relationship Manager with a C&I focus for a well-established California bank over 100 years old.
Salary: $120,000 - $185,000 per year
Key Responsibilities
- Proven experience within C&I with the ability to generate $25MM+ per year in loans.
- Actively solicit new deposit and loan relationships via networking, community involvement, cross-selling, and business development activities.
- Establish and maintain an excellent rapport with key customers, including those with complex financing and depository requirements, by making monthly retention calls.
- Provide detailed explanations of different types of loans and credit options to customers by analyzing applicants’ financial information, credit worthiness, and property to determine feasibility of granting loans.
- Recommend loan approval or decline to the Business Banking Group Manager and/or Credit Administration. Prepare thorough credit memos complete with accurate financial analysis and credit strengths and weaknesses.
- Actively manage a credit portfolio to ensure compliance with Bank, regulatory, and credit requirements by reviewing and updating all credit loan files and loan agreements to ensure they are complete and accurate according to policy.
- Prepare timely credit renewals and risk rating upgrades/downgrades.
- Monitor loan repayment activities and account overdrafts, taking necessary action to collect any past–due accounts as consistent with Bank policy.

- Proven experience within C&I.
- Ability to generate $25MM+ per year in loans.
- Experience establishing and maintaining customer rapport.
- Experience analyzing financial information, credit worthiness, and property for loan feasibility.
- Experience preparing credit memos.
- Experience managing credit portfolios and ensuring compliance.
- Experience preparing credit renewals and risk ratings.
- Experience monitoring loan repayment and managing past-due accounts.
