About the Role

Article Trainee internship at Jain Sanjay & Associates LLP, an on-site position based in the Greater Gwalior Area.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in statutory, internal, and tax audits by supporting documentation, working papers, and audit testing under guidance.
• Prepare and review financial statements.
• Verify vouchers and ledgers.
• Contribute to compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations.
• Support project financing and corporate advisory work through data collection, analysis, and report preparation.
• Maintain client files.
• Coordinate with client teams.
• Learn professional standards and regulatory requirements relevant to chartered accountancy practice.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and basic auditing concepts.
• Skills in tax fundamentals, including direct and indirect taxation.
• Interest in compliance and regulatory frameworks.
• Analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and prepare clear working papers and reports.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with accounting or audit tools and software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional etiquette and ability to collaborate in a team-based environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments responsibly.
• Enrollment in or completion of relevant professional courses (such as CA curriculum or equivalent) and prior internship or project experience in finance or accounting will be considered an advantage.
