About the Role
The Robotics and AI Intern will support the design, development, and testing of intelligent robotic systems and AI-driven automation solutions in a structured R&D environment. This is an internship role and is fully remote, requiring proactive communication, self-management, and regular progress updates to the project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Building and validating machine learning models.
- Programming embedded or robotic systems.
- Integrating sensors and IoT devices.
- Assisting in data collection and analysis for experimental trials.
- Collaborating with engineers and researchers to prototype hardware–software solutions.
- Documenting experiments.
- Contributing to technical reports and presentations.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Skills in AI and machine learning, including model development, data preprocessing, and familiarity with common frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn).
- Skills in robotics and control, including basic robot kinematics, sensor integration, microcontroller or embedded programming, and real-time system debugging.
- Programming skills in languages commonly used in AI and robotics, such as Python, C/C++, or MATLAB, along with version control (e.g., Git).
- Skills in IoT and automation, including working with communication protocols, edge devices, and integrating hardware with cloud or local services.
- Foundational engineering and problem-solving skills, including the ability to read technical documentation, design experiments, and interpret results.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting and contribute effectively to multidisciplinary teams.
Beneficial Qualifications
- Coursework or projects in robotics, AI, or embedded systems.
- Familiarity with ROS or similar frameworks.
- Experience in product design or prototyping.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field is preferred.
