About the Role
Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join their team in Philadelphia, PA 19115. This role involves creating long-term impacts on consumers' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals.
Position Details
- Work in a variety of settings, making memories with individuals.
- Follow the Individual Support Plan to engage individuals in activities like going to the park and working on social and communication skills.
- Enhance independence by assisting with daily hygiene and personal care.
- Teach individuals to navigate daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities.
- Support individuals in achieving their goals.
- Implement Individual Support Plans.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Valid driver's license.
- At least 18 years old.
- High School diploma/G.E.D. is preferred.
- Experience in a home health aide setting or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
- No experience required – PAID training is provided.
