FT Cashier TFM

About the Role

Tony's Fresh Market is seeking a Cashier to provide a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service. You will use point-of-sale equipment to register sales by scanning items, itemizing, and totaling customers' purchases.

Key Responsibilities

• Process customer purchases, perform general cleaning duties, and return misplaced items to shelves.
• Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experience.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly to the store management team.
• Provide feedback to management on all products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues.
• Participate in taking store inventory counts according to guidelines and monitoring inventory for accuracy.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses.
• Comply with all other established company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to the direct leader.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Must be 16 years or older (must provide worker's permit).
• Highly organized with a keen sense of details.
• Great listening and communication skills.
• Can handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting while handling products or using various equipment.
• Ability to shine in a fast-paced environment.
• Cash handling efficiency.
• Point-of-sale (POS) equipment.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store.
• Work environment typical of a retail store; noise level ranges from quiet to loud.
• Must be comfortable adapting to and working in a cooler-than-normal temperature environment at the front end of the store.
• Minimal sitting is required.
