Associate Dentist

About the Role

SmileCareDental is seeking an Associate Dentist for a part-time, on-site position in Gandhinagar.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced dental procedures, including examinations, diagnoses, fillings, root canals, extractions, and preventive treatments.
• Review patient histories.
• Develop treatment plans.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate clinical records.
• Work closely with dental assistants and other team members to ensure efficient patient flow, adherence to infection control and safety protocols, and a high standard of patient care.
• Support follow-up care.
• Contribute to case discussions.
• Participate in continuous improvement of clinical processes.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Licensed Dentist with a recognized dental degree (BDS or equivalent).
• Registered with the appropriate dental council.
• Clinical experience in general dentistry, including diagnosis, restorative procedures, endodontics, basic oral surgery, and preventive care.
• Strong patient communication skills, with the ability to explain treatment options clearly and provide empathetic, inclusive care.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards in infection control, sterilization, and overall clinical hygiene.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a busy clinical setting.
• Willingness to stay current with advances in dentistry through continuing education and professional development.
• Experience working in a community or clinic setting is an advantage.
• Familiarity with digital dental records and modern dental equipment is beneficial.
