Unit Testing Intern

About the Role

The Unit Testing Intern role at MITS Tech is a full-time, hybrid position based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for some work from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, write, and maintain unit test cases for software components.
• Execute tests and document results.
• Identify defects.
• Collaborate with developers to clarify requirements and improve code quality.
• Assist in reviewing existing test coverage.
• Contribute to test plans.
• Apply testing best practices and standards.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Analytical Skills to interpret requirements, identify edge cases, and analyze test results.
• Software Testing and Testing fundamentals, including an understanding of testing lifecycle and methodologies.
• Skills in writing and maintaining Test Cases, including structuring, documenting, and updating test scenarios.
• Communication skills for collaborating with developers, peers, and mentors.
• Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (such as Java, Python, or C#) and familiarity with unit testing frameworks is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow structured testing processes.
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment, with reliability in both in-office and remote collaboration.
