About the Role
Piper Companies is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Clinical Research Assistant to support the execution of clinical research studies in Bethesda, MD.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day coordination and administration of clinical research studies.
- Screen, recruit, and schedule study participants according to protocol requirements.
- Obtain and review participant medical histories and study-related documentation.
- Collect, process, and accurately enter clinical data into electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
- Maintain study files, regulatory binders, and essential research documents.
- Assist with informed consent processes and participant education under supervision.
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ICH-GCP guidelines, HIPAA requirements, and institutional policies.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Previous experience supporting clinical trials or research studies.
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), HIPAA, and FDA regulations.
- Experience with EDC systems such as Medidata Rave, REDCap, Veeva, or Oracle Clinical.
- Experience in academic medical centers, CROs, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced research setting.
- Experience working with confidential patient information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Public Health, Psychology, Nursing, or a related field preferred.
