Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role

This is a full-time remote role for a Quality Assurance Engineer at Bytescare.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of Bytescare’s software solutions.
• Perform manual testing and validate new features.
• Identify and document defects.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and DevOps teams to resolve issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Participate in release planning.
• Ensure all deliverables meet established quality standards.
• Assist in refining test strategies.
• Support regression test cycles.
• Provide clear reporting on test results and product quality.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong foundation in Quality Assurance and Software Testing, with experience applying QA methodologies and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Manual Testing and Test Execution for web and/or SaaS-based applications.
• Proficiency in designing, documenting, and maintaining Test Cases aligned with functional and non-functional requirements.
• Familiarity with test management and bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail or similar) and clear defect reporting skills.
• Understanding of automation testing concepts; experience with test automation tools or scripting languages is an advantage.
• Knowledge of SDLC and agile development practices, including participation in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on root-cause analysis.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional, distributed teams in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in cybersecurity, brand protection, or digital risk domains is a plus.
