This is a full-time, on-site Chartered Accountant role based in Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial accounting, statutory and tax compliance, and preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business performance.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, implement internal controls, and provide insights that support SMARTANK’s consulting and advisory engagements.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work with complex data.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from a recognized professional body is required.
• Additional certifications in finance or taxation are an advantage.
• Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including proficiency in preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
• Skills in taxation and regulatory compliance, including direct and indirect tax, statutory filings, and familiarity with Indian accounting and corporate laws.
• Skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, with the ability to interpret data, monitor performance, and support business strategy.
• Skills in audit coordination, internal controls, and risk management to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance in financial operations.
• Effective communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience in consulting, professional services, or a fast-paced business environment is beneficial.
