- Work with drafters/designers and coordinate with other disciplines to complete construction documents.
- Support engineering services during construction on projects, including submittal reviews and responses to requests for information.
- Verify performance and/or conformity with design drawings and specifications through field inspection and testing during construction and commissioning.
- Perform process troubleshooting and optimization, pilot testing, bench scale testing, and lab analysis of conventional and advanced water treatment technologies.
- Analyze data including water quality, technology evaluations, and plant operations information.
- Routinely seek out guidance and implement feedback received from senior engineering staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage small to midsize design tasks as a wastewater process task lead on projects with support from Arcadis’ IWTO subject matter experts.
- Site visits during various project phases, which may include equipment evaluation, process testing and troubleshooting, construction inspection and observations, and other field work.
- Typical projects involve front-end treatment concept development, detailed design of industrial wastewater treatment systems, water conservation, nutrient removal, sustainability, and pollution prevention.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Exposure to engineering drawings, calculations, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), specifications, and technical reports for industrial clients.
- Sufficient knowledge to support the design of water and wastewater projects and prepare construction documents.
- Ability to support the development of process and mechanical drawings, P&IDs, specifications, control narratives, technical reports and memoranda, and operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Access, Outlook, etc.).
- Experience performing engineering calculations using computer software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
