Language Specialist, Odia

About the Role

The Language Specialist – Odia is a full-time, on-site role based in Panchkula. This position involves providing high-quality language services in Odia, including written translation of documents, digital content, and product materials from and into Odia.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform written translation of documents, digital content, and product materials from and into Odia.
• Perform interpreting tasks as needed.
• Support clear communication between Odia-speaking stakeholders and internal teams.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of terminology and tone.
• Draft and edit Odia content.
• Review translated materials for quality.
• Collaborate with project and product teams on localization requirements.
• Maintain language resources such as glossaries and style guides.
• Support language-related training, documentation, and quality assurance for Odia-language deliverables.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in Odia and excellent command of English.
• Strong skills in Translation and Language Services, with proven ability to work between Odia and English.
• Strong Interpreting and Communication skills to facilitate clear understanding among diverse stakeholders.
• Strong Writing skills in Odia and English, including grammar, style, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work on-site in Panchkula.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
• Bachelor’s degree in languages, translation, linguistics, communication, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in localization, content adaptation, or linguistic quality assurance is beneficial.
• Familiarity with translation tools or CAT software and basic computer literacy are an advantage.
