Embedded Software Engineer

About the Role

Applied Intuition is powering the future of physical AI. We are looking for Embedded Software Engineers with expertise in developing embedded software applications on production computers to build the next-generation vehicle platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate vendor components into a common software framework, ensuring proper low-level communication (e.g., CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI, UART, etc.)
• Implement real-time operating system (RTOS) applications as required for the product
• Architect and develop high-quality C code for real-time embedded environments, including safety critical systems
• Support hardware bring-up, including low-level debug of board and SoC
• Work with cross-functional teams to bring up custom software on new devices, productionize it, and manage the process for maintaining company products

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong background in embedded software development using C/C++ and assembly languages
• Ability to do low-level debugging on hardware to ensure complete system operation
• 1+ year of experience in any field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Qualifications

• BS/BA, MS, or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree graduating by December 2026 or Summer 2027

• Proven ability as a self-starter and can quickly become comfortable with new technical tools
• Experience taking initiative in a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on experience with RTOS and middleware applications
• Ability to work with safety critical robotic systems with real-time constraints
