About the Role
Matrix Design Group LLC is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for a 2027 Summer Internship. This is a paid, in-office position at our home office in Newburgh, IN, reporting to the Software Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of embedded software solutions.
- Assist engineers with documenting application requirements and specifications.
- Perform lab and field testing.
- Document test results.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Education: Pursuing BSCS, BSEE, BSCE.
- Experience developing software using one or more of the following languages: C/C++/Python/Bash/Embedded Linux.
- Experience with embedded Linux or Real Time Operating Systems or bare-metal environments.
- Understanding of source control concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with various intra-system communication protocols: SPI, I2C, CAN.
- Experience with various inter-system communication protocols: USB, UART, USART.
