The Software Engineer Intern is based out India, collaborating closely with the Co-Founders. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of front-end and back-end services/work flows that power the InstaMandi platform. The intern will write clean, efficient code, and help troubleshoot and debug issues in existing systems fully leveraging AI. They will contribute to implementing new features, improving performance, and ensuring reliability of services that support daily operations. The role also involves learning best practices in software engineering, documenting technical work, and collaborating cross-functionally with product and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of front-end and back-end services/work flows.
• Write clean, efficient code.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing systems.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, and APIs.
• Skills in Software Development and Programming, including experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar).
• Knowledge of Back-End Web Development, including APIs, server-side frameworks, and integration with databases.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Ability to learn quickly, work collaboratively in a team environment, and communicate clearly in written and verbal form.
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and basic software development workflows is preferred.
• Interest in e-commerce, logistics technology, or consumer-facing platforms is a plus.
