Engineer Intern

About the Role

The Engineer Intern will support the design, development, testing, and deployment of underwater drones, surface robots, and marine IoT systems. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Kochi, with some flexibility for work-from-home depending on project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with hardware and software prototyping.
• Perform lab and field tests.
• Document results.
• Contribute to product improvements.
• Help integrate sensors, embedded systems, and communication modules.
• Work on data acquisition, analysis, and basic automation tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in technical discussions.
• Maintain clear project documentation.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Knowledge of basic electronics, sensors, microcontrollers, and embedded systems development.
• Experience or coursework in programming (e.g., C/C++, Python).
• Familiarity with control systems or robotics concepts.
• Understanding of CAD tools or mechanical design principles for prototypes and enclosures is an advantage.
• Ability to conduct experiments, record observations, and analyze technical data systematically.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn in a hands-on environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in engineering disciplines such as Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or Computer Science.
• Interest in marine technology, underwater robotics, or IoT-based monitoring systems.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a relevant engineering degree or diploma.
• Availability to work full-time in a hybrid setup from Kochi, including occasional lab or field work.
