Lab Technician Intern, India

About the Role

Skillzenloop is looking for a detail-oriented Lab Technician Intern to support laboratory documentation, sample data management, quality records, and technical reporting activities. The selected candidate will gain exposure to laboratory procedures, scientific documentation, data accuracy, and quality control processes through supervised project-based assignments in a remote working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in organising laboratory records, test reports, and technical documentation.
• Maintain accurate digital records of laboratory observations and results provided by authorised personnel.
• Support data entry and verification for laboratory reports and quality records.
• Assist in reviewing documentation for completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
• Organise sample-related information and maintain structured digital records.
• Help prepare spreadsheets, summaries, and reports using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Follow established documentation procedures and quality standards.
• Assist in maintaining records related to laboratory equipment, inventory, and test documentation where applicable.
• Support the organisation of standard operating procedures and technical reference materials.
• Identify missing or inconsistent information and report discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling laboratory, patient, or research information.
• Collaborate with team members on documentation and data management assignments.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and scientific documentation.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory safety and quality control principles.
• Understanding of scientific terminology is beneficial.
• Familiarity with laboratory information management systems is an advantage.
• Good organisational and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow established procedures and instructions.
• Strong analytical thinking and willingness to learn.
• Professional communication and teamwork skills.
• Access to a computer and a reliable internet connection.

Qualifications

• Candidates pursuing or holding a degree or diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related discipline may apply.
• Candidates with academic laboratory projects or relevant practical training are encouraged to apply.

Internship Details

• Duration: 1–3 Months
• Stipend: ₹15,000–₹16,000 per month
