About the Role

The role sits at the top of the revenue engine for a cloud-based SaaS platform, identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospects to build the sales pipeline for growth. This is a metrics-driven, quota-carrying position with a clear path to account executive. Success requires mastering cold outreach, discovery conversations, and modern sales tooling within a team that invests heavily in coaching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect into named accounts via cold calls, email, LinkedIn, and video messaging to book qualified meetings for account executives in tech/SaaS buying committees (IT, data, operations).
  • Run discovery calls to qualify pain, budget, timing, and decision process against a documented ICP and pass clean handoffs to AEs.
  • Research target accounts and trigger events (funding, hiring, tech-stack changes) to personalize outreach at scale.
  • Manage all activity, notes, and pipeline data in Salesforce; maintain CRM hygiene and accurate forecasting inputs.
  • Consistently hit weekly and monthly targets for dials, connects, meetings set, and qualified pipeline contribution.
  • Partner with marketing to test messaging, refine personas, and give structured feedback on lead quality and campaign performance.
  • Iterate on outbound plays and share winning talk tracks, email frameworks, and objection handling with the broader SDR team.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • Hands-on familiarity with a modern sales stack, including:
  • Salesforce
  • HubSpot
  • Outreach
  • Salesloft
  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • ZoomInfo
  • Or similar tools, or the aptitude to learn them fast.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment with daily activity standards and weekly pipeline reviews.
  • Coachable, resilient, and genuinely motivated by hitting measurable goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write crisp, personalized outreach and hold credible conversations with mid-level and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience in SaaS sales, SDR/BDR roles, customer success, or B2B quota-carrying work.
  • Strong academic record (Bachelor's degree preferred, any discipline).
  • Track record of hitting measurable goals in sales, athletics, academics, or entrepreneurship; demonstrated grit and resilience in the face of rejection.
  • Bonus: Prior experience selling to technical buyers (DevOps, data, security, or IT infrastructure), familiarity with B2B tech buying personas, or experience with a high-growth startup.
