- Schedule: 2nd Shift 4/10 (Employees work 10-hour days, 4 days a week)
- This role supports Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development and high-complexity production programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine tests, mix/cast chemicals and energetics, collect data, and operate equipment in accordance with standard procedures.
- Conduct laboratory procedures for chemical analysis using wet chemical techniques or analytical instruments.
- Perform laboratory procedures including mechanical testing, environmental exposure, combustion testing, hazard testing, and propellant compatibility testing.
- Mix chemicals and energetics up to a large scale.
- Work with hand tools.
- Apply test results for quality control purposes, process or product failure analysis, contamination analysis, or understanding engineering development activity results.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in following detailed work standards and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in acquiring skills and performing work with specialization as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of prior manufacturing experience.
- OR
- 2 years post-Secondary/Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 0-2 years of prior manufacturing experience.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience with chemicals and chemical processing.
- Ability to work with various hand tools.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to follow safety practices and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the work team.
- Ability to work with management, supervisor, or lead personnel to prioritize work and meet critical deadlines.
