The Consultant, Digitally Tunable Bandpass Filters will provide expert guidance on the design, development, and optimization of digitally tunable RF and microwave bandpass filter solutions. This is an on-site role located in Bengaluru South, requiring regular interaction with design, production, and quality teams to ensure effective implementation of filter solutions aligned with military and space standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzing system requirements.
• Defining filter specifications.
• Reviewing circuit and system-level designs.
• Advising on component selection and architecture to achieve desired frequency response and performance.
• Collaborating with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Validating designs through simulation and testing.
• Recommending improvements in manufacturing processes and test methodologies.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of RF and microwave engineering, including filter design, frequency control, and signal integrity.
• Experience with digitally tunable and programmable bandpass filters, including practical implementation in high-frequency systems.
• Proficiency with relevant simulation and design tools (e.g., ADS, HFSS, CST, SPICE or equivalent RF CAD tools).
• Understanding of electronics for military and space applications, including applicable standards, reliability, and environmental constraints.
• Ability to interpret system-level requirements and translate them into detailed filter specifications and design guidelines.
• Experience with lab measurements and test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Prior consulting or industry experience in RF/microwave design is highly beneficial.
