Role Description

This is a part-time, remote Fresher Data Analyst (Entry / Junior Level) role. The Data Analyst will assist in collecting, organizing, and cleaning data related to students, programs, and community impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Updating spreadsheets and databases.
• Preparing basic reports and summaries.
• Supporting simple data visualizations to inform program decisions.
• Collaborating with team members to track key performance indicators.
• Ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Learning nonprofit-focused data practices.
• Contributing to evidence-based decision-making.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Foundational data skills, such as working with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) and maintaining structured datasets.
• Basic analytical abilities, including interpreting simple data trends, checking data quality, and generating summary tables or charts.
• Comfort with digital tools and remote collaboration platforms, including email, cloud storage, and team communication tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to follow data entry and documentation guidelines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Interest in data, impact measurement, and learning new analytics tools or methods.
• Alignment with the organization’s mission and a genuine interest in education, social impact, or nonprofit work.

Relevant coursework or self-learning in statistics, data analysis, computer science, economics, or related fields is an advantage.

Prior internship, volunteer, or project experience involving data, even at a basic level, is a plus but not required.
