Solutions Engineer

Insight Global - Dallas, TX (Onsite: 4 days per week)

About the Role

This position is ideal for an early-to-mid career engineer looking to grow across software development, cloud technology, AI, and solution engineering. The role will work hands-on with cloud applications, AI and automation, integrations, vendor technologies, and proof-of-concept development. You will gain exposure to restaurant technology and Oracle Simphony, but prior restaurant or POS experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement new technologies.
• Build and test solutions.
• Support vendor technical assessments.
• Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve existing processes.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• 3+ years of experience in software development or web development (strong candidates with less experience will be considered).
• Hands-on experience developing applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Python and modern web/application development; React preferred.
• Understanding of cloud-native and serverless technologies.
• Hands-on exposure to AI, automation, or AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or CodeX.
• Experience with GitHub and modern development workflows.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work with business stakeholders and technical vendors.
• Desire to grow long-term into broader Solution Engineering/Architecture responsibilities.

Nice to Have

• Observability, monitoring, or logging experience.
• React / Next.js.
• Figma.
• Restaurant, retail, hospitality, POS, or Oracle Simphony exposure.
• Experience working with international teams.
