Accounting Intern

About the Role

SocialAngel is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Accounts Intern to support its finance team in ensuring accuracy and transparency in all donation, transaction, and financial records. This internship provides hands-on exposure to accounting operations within a tech-driven social impact ecosystem, contributing to financial processes that create real-world impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in recording and maintaining financial transactions related to donations, expenses, and operational activities.
• Support bank reconciliations, payment gateway reconciliations, and verification of financial records.
• Help maintain organized accounting records and documentation for audits and compliance.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, MIS reports, and donor fund utilization reports.
• Support the finance team in tracking campaign funds and ensuring accurate allocation of donations.
• Assist with invoice processing, expense verification, and vendor payment documentation.
• Help in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support compliance-related documentation for TDS, GST, and other statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams to collect financial information and maintain accurate records.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned by the reporting manager.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities.
• Eagerness to learn, take ownership, and work in a collaborative environment.
• Passion for transparency, accountability, and contributing to meaningful social impact.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
