This role is for a software engineer who understands user problems, architects solutions, and ships them rapidly. Your work will be live in production, with opportunities to operate as a 10x engineer. You will leverage AI workflows to accelerate development and bring innovative solutions to life, defining how engineering operates at Range by exploring the potential of AI for engineers. Your contributions in architecture and code will be crucial for the company's scale. Engineers at Range are catalysts, transforming ideas into products and driving momentum. Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or other programming languages.
• Experience building and operating production services on AWS or similar cloud platforms, including EC2, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch.
• Comfort working across the full stack—frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
• A track record of owning features end-to-end, from design through deployment and monitoring.
• Proven ability to architect, debug, and ship using AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor), understanding their outputs and limitations.
• Experience working in an agile environment and shipping iteratively.

What Will Set You Apart

• Experience writing scalable services with Node.js.
• Experience building complex web applications with React and TypeScript.

• Ability to break down ambiguous problems into clear milestones and deliver with minimal direction.

Compensation

• Base Salary Range: $100,000 – $200,000
• Total compensation will exceed the base salary range and includes equity in the form of stock options.
• Salary history is not requested or considered.
