Environmental Services Coordinator Part-Time

About the Role

Flexjet is seeking an Environmental Services Coordinator to join our Facilities Building Maintenance team. This is a part-time position focused on creating a sanitary, safe environment that enhances the appearance of the FBO facility in Teterboro, NJ.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleans restrooms (toilets, sinks, mirrors, mop floors, clogged toilets), break areas, conference and training rooms, private offices, cubicle areas, waiting areas, and other assigned areas.
• Performs dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, disinfecting bathrooms and break rooms, emptying trash, and interior window cleaning.
• Replenishes paper items (toilet tissues, paper towels) and other supplies (hand soap, hand sanitizer) in restrooms and break areas as needed.
• Cleans and maintains public areas of office space.
• Vacuums offices and common areas; mops floors.
• Promptly cleans up floor spills or wet spots created by inclement weather.
• Adheres to all company-wide and departmental safety requirements.
• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
• Maintains regular and prompt attendance, which may include night and weekend hours.
• Performs other responsibilities and tasks as assigned.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Prior commercial cleaning experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one-year related experience in commercial cleaning.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Comfortable prioritizing tasks.
• Demonstrates flexibility.
• Displays a strong work ethic, fanatical attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
• Ability to prioritize and work in a team environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with C-level executives.
• Applicants must be drug-free with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must possess the legal ability to work in the United States.
• Requires 1-3 months on-the-job training to learn department policies and procedures, various cleaning techniques, and proper use and storage of cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Requires full body motion, including ability to perform work while lifting, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting, and reaching.
• Requires continuous walking and standing on hard surfaces.
• Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Must be able to exert 11 to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.
