About the Role

The Owner role at VIETNAM LOGISTICS MANUFACTURING NETWORKING (VLMN) is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. This role is responsible for overseeing the overall strategy, operations, and growth of the network.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate regular networking events.
• Manage local partnerships.
• Ensure high-quality experiences for participants.
• Supervise event logistics.
• Guide marketing and outreach efforts.
• Cultivate relationships with professionals and organizations in logistics, supply chain, import–export, and manufacturing.
• Lead a small team or collaborate with external partners.
• Manage budgets and resources.
• Monitor performance against community growth and engagement goals.
• Represent VLMN at events.
• Act as a primary contact for stakeholders.
• Continuously identify new opportunities for expansion and collaboration in the Chennai region.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, decision-making, and strategic planning skills, with experience managing teams or initiatives.
• Background in logistics, supply chain, import–export, manufacturing, or related business domains, with a solid understanding of industry trends.
• Event planning and coordination skills, including vendor management, budgeting, and on-site operations.
• Business development and networking capabilities, with a proven ability to build partnerships and maintain professional relationships.
• Marketing and communication skills, including basic digital marketing, social media engagement, and stakeholder communication.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse professionals.
• High level of organization, time management, and problem-solving abilities to handle multiple events and initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Advanced qualifications or entrepreneurial experience are an asset.
• Fluency in English.
• Knowledge of local languages and prior experience working in or with communities in Chennai is an advantage.
