Reporter

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Reporter role based in Chennai. The Reporter will cover developments related to industrial automation, manufacturing technologies, and JD TECH’s solutions, producing clear and accurate news articles, reports, and features.

Key Responsibilities

• Researching stories
• Conducting interviews with internal experts and external stakeholders
• Verifying information and data
• Writing timely content for internal publications, external media, and digital platforms
• Collaborating with multimedia teams to create visual and audio content
• Attending relevant events or briefings
• Aligning coverage with organizational priorities while maintaining journalistic standards

Qualifications

• Strong reporting and news writing skills, with the ability to identify story angles and present complex technical topics clearly.
• Excellent communication and writing skills, including the ability to interview subject matter experts and adapt tone for different audiences.
• Experience with multimedia content creation (such as basic video, audio, or visual assets) to support digital storytelling.
• Attention to detail, fact-checking abilities, and a commitment to accuracy and ethical reporting.
• Familiarity with industrial automation, manufacturing, or technology sectors is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Chennai, manage multiple assignments, and meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
