Junior Architect

About the Role

Aarban is seeking a Junior Architect for a full-time, hybrid position based in Bolpur Sriniketan. This role offers hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle, from concept to completion, within a growing architecture and design practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior team members in developing architectural concepts.
• Prepare architectural drawings and 3D models.
• Assist with design presentations.
• Produce detailed plans and elevations.
• Coordinate design revisions.
• Contribute to documentation for permits and approvals.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders.
• Gather site and project information.
• Ensure designs align with functional, aesthetic, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in project meetings.
• Maintain organized project files.
• Support basic project coordination tasks.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar).
• Basic 3D visualization skills.
• Foundational Project Management skills (planning tasks, tracking progress, coordinating with team members).

Qualifications

• Ability to apply core Architecture and Architectural Design principles to develop functional and aesthetic solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow design guidelines.
• Willingness to learn from feedback.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
• Experience or coursework in Software Development and Integration related to design tools, BIM, or workflow automation is an advantage.
• Familiarity with local building codes, materials, and construction practices in Bolpur Sriniketan or the surrounding region is desirable.
