Associate Consultant, Air Quality

About the Role

Ramboll is seeking an Air Quality Associate to join their Environment & Health department. This entry-level position is part of the Air & Climate Service Line and focuses on assisting clients with air and climate-related challenges. The role is based in Los Angeles or Irvine, California, or Phoenix, Arizona.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing emissions calculations
• Conducting air quality reviews of emissions reduction or control
• Assisting in preparing major and minor source permit applications and environmental impact reports
• Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong computing skills, including high-level use of spreadsheets and word processing
• Strong written/verbal communication, problem-solving, and organization skills
• Ability to understand and interpret environmental regulations
• Database and GIS skills are preferred but not required

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, or a science degree with air quality coursework
• A GPA of 3.5 or higher
