Biogas Engineer

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Biogas Engineer role based in Hyderabad. The Biogas Engineer will design, develop, and optimize biogas plants, including process design, equipment selection, and layout planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize biogas plants.
• Conduct feasibility studies.
• Perform technical calculations.
• Review drawings and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with construction and operations teams for proper installation and commissioning.
• Monitor plant performance.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
• Implement improvements for efficiency, reliability, and safety.
• Support compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Biogas, anaerobic digestion, or renewable energy engineering
• Knowledge of process design and plant operation
• Ability to perform engineering calculations
• Ability to analyze performance data
• Experience with relevant design or simulation tools for biogas systems
• Experience reviewing technical drawings, P&IDs, equipment specifications
• Understanding of environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements related to biogas and waste-to-energy projects
• Problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, process, and operational issues on-site
• Communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Energy Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Prior experience in biogas, wastewater treatment, or other industrial process plants is highly beneficial.
• Willingness to work on-site in Hyderabad and visit project locations as required.
