Engineering Intern/Co-op, Multiple Openings

Shape Corp. is seeking Engineering Interns/Co-ops for Summer 2027.

Program Overview

This student engineering program provides hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment across multiple disciplines. Interns and co-ops will gain exposure to real-world projects, technical challenges, and cross-functional collaboration.

Internship Tracks

• Manufacturing Engineering Interns

• Design tools and fixtures using AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

• Support continuous improvement and production troubleshooting.

• Create and revise operator instructions.

• Assist with asset management, safety audits, and plant layout planning.

• Product Development Engineering Interns

• Gain exposure to Shape’s Product Development processes, including SPMP, enterProj, Plex, and Smartsheet systems.

• Learn the fundamentals of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and drawing development.

• Work with Teamcenter and VisMockUp to manage and visualize product data.

• Assist in the creation and review of key engineering documents such as DFMEA, DVP&R, and technical drawings.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product design and process development initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities

• Apply engineering calculations to real-world problems.
• Manage cross-functional projects.
• Create technical documentation and present findings.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
