Dock Associate I

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and unbox product to La-Z-Boy specifications.
• Review product against paperwork for order completeness and accuracy.
• Assist in loading and unloading furniture and accessories on and off trucks, operating power equipment on occasion.
• Occasionally move up to 350 pounds on a two-wheel dolly.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
• Perform product prep, reuse or recycling of revenue commodities, and 5S responsibilities.
• Attend company-required training and committee participation.
• Scan furniture when receiving, moving, or loading into the computer system.
• Receive returned furniture from delivery trucks and place in correct locations.
• Ensure product sent back to vendors is properly packaged with corresponding paperwork.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions.
• Scanning furniture into the computer system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• OSHA Certification preferred.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

• Nearly continuously: stand, balance, reach overhead, pull, push, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Often: repetitive hand motion, walking, bending, stooping, listening, talking, climb stairs and ladders, crawl, and operate industry equipment.
