Product Design (UX) Intern

About the Role

This is a design role that goes beyond typical internships. You will work on real product problems, focusing on defining what to build and why, before visual design. The role involves understanding the problem, designing the solution, and shipping it, with support in all three areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with the product and engineering team on real features.
• Help define what to build, not just how to design it.
• Create flows, prototypes, and UI grounded in user insight and product logic.
• Gradually get involved in implementation, learning to take designs from Figma to the actual product.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• You are a designer at heart, thinking in flows, hierarchy, and moments of clarity.
• You care about how something feels, not just how it looks.
• You notice details others miss, such as inefficient flows, unclear labels, or perception-altering transitions.
• You are curious about the "why" before the "how," asking questions, digging into context, and pushing back when necessary.
• Comfortable with ambiguity; able to move from a rough idea to a considered design without all answers upfront.
• Curious about AI and use it as part of your thinking and work process.

Nice to Have

• Experience building in HTML/CSS or React.

Qualifications

• Location: The Playce Millenium, Mulund West, Mumbai 400080 (on-site).
• Interview process: Aptitude & logic test → interview (may include a design assignment).
• The process starts with an aptitude test, not a portfolio review, emphasizing problem-solving skills before tool usage.
