Chinese Teacher

About the Role

ICS Academy is seeking a full-time, on-site Chinese Teacher based in New Delhi. The role involves delivering engaging, learner-focused instruction in Mandarin Chinese to students at various proficiency levels, following the academy’s curriculum and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and conducting lessons.
• Developing teaching materials and assessments.
• Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Maintaining classroom discipline.
• Facilitating interactive activities such as speaking drills, reading practice, and writing exercises.
• Incorporating cultural elements to enhance understanding of the language.
• Collaborating with colleagues.
• Participating in academic meetings.
• Supporting school events related to language learning.

Qualifications

• Strong Chinese Teaching skills, with proven ability to teach Mandarin effectively to different age groups and proficiency levels.
• Lesson Planning and Teaching skills, including designing structured lessons, developing resources, and using varied instructional methods.
• Communication and Education skills, demonstrating clear verbal and written communication, student-centered guidance, and classroom management.
• Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Chinese language, Education, or a related field.
• Formal training in language teaching methodology.
• Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written).
• Familiarity with Chinese culture.
• Experience preparing learners for exams or certifications.
• Ability to use basic educational technology.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work collaboratively with academic staff.
• Prior teaching experience in schools, institutes, or universities is highly beneficial.
• Experience teaching in New Delhi or similar urban settings is an advantage.
