Role Overview
We are looking for an Operations Intern who gets things done. This role is for someone who is curious, resourceful, quick on their feet and willing to take on whatever the day demands. At HULP, operations can mean solving an immediate problem, coordinating across teams, figuring out an unfamiliar task, chasing a pending action or stepping in wherever execution needs support. We need a go-getter who doesn't freeze when something is unfamiliar, doesn't wait around for every instruction and doesn't consider a task beneath them. Someone who takes ownership, asks the right questions, figures out the next step and follows through until the job is done. You may not know how to do everything on day one. That's fine. What matters is your ability to learn quickly, adapt, take initiative and deliver. We value people who can move between different responsibilities without losing sight of the outcome. If you see a problem, you take it upon yourself to find a solution. If you are given a responsibility, you own it. If something needs to get done, you find a way to make it happen.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day business operations and step in wherever the team needs execution support.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks from initiation to completion, ensuring timely follow-through.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors and other stakeholders to get things moving and resolve pending actions.
- Research, investigate and figure out solutions when faced with unfamiliar tasks or operational challenges.
- Follow up proactively on dependencies, deadlines and outstanding requirements instead of waiting for reminders.
- Help manage operational trackers, records, documentation and day-to-day reporting with accuracy.
- Identify gaps, delays or recurring problems and suggest practical ways to improve execution.
- Handle multiple assignments, prioritise effectively and adapt quickly when business requirements change.
- Take responsibility for urgent tasks and last-minute requirements while maintaining attention to detail.
- Communicate clearly, flag blockers early and escalate issues with possible solutions rather than just highlighting problems.
- Support the planning and execution of operational projects, internal initiatives and process improvements.
- Learn new tools, systems and processes quickly and use them to improve the way work gets done.
- Take on responsibilities beyond a fixed checklist when the situation demands it, with a willingness to learn and contribute wherever required.
Who We Are Looking For
- A fresher or candidate with up to one year of experience who is eager to learn through hands-on work.
- A natural go-getter who takes initiative instead of waiting for instructions at every step.
- Someone with a strong sense of ownership who sees tasks through to completion.
- Quick to learn, comfortable asking questions and resourceful enough to find answers independently.
- A practical problem-solver who can stay composed when plans change or challenges arise.
- Organised enough to manage multiple tasks, follow through on commitments and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working with different teams and handling responsibilities that may change from day to day.
- Clear and confident in communication, with the ability to coordinate and follow up effectively.
- Proficient with basic digital tools such as Google Sheets, Google Docs, email and spreadsheets, or willing to learn quickly.
- Open to feedback, willing to get their hands dirty and comfortable stepping outside their comfort zone.
- Graduate in any discipline; attitude, initiative and execution matter more than the degree.
The Kind of Person Who Will Thrive Here
- Ownership over excuses: You focus on what can be done and take responsibility for getting it done.
- Initiative over instruction: You can identify the next step without needing someone to spell out every detail.
- Solutions over problems: You bring possible answers to the table, not just a list of things that went wrong.
- Adaptability over rigid boundaries: You can switch gears, learn something new and take on unfamiliar challenges.
- Follow-through over promises: You close loops, keep people informed and make sure nothing important slips through the cracks.
