Junior Procurement Executive

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Procurement Executive to support our procurement activities for drone manufacturing, assembly, and related operations. The candidate will assist in sourcing components, coordinating with suppliers, tracking purchase orders, and ensuring the timely availability of materials required for production and R&D activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing and purchasing drone components, electronic parts, mechanical components, and accessories.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotations, compare prices, and check delivery timelines.
• Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders (POs), and other procurement documents.
• Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, quotation files, and purchase order trackers.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, stores, quality, and finance teams to understand material requirements.
• Assist in identifying alternative suppliers and cost-effective purchasing options.
• Support inventory monitoring and ensure the availability of critical components.
• Verify received materials against purchase orders and coordinate with the quality and stores teams for discrepancies.
• Track pending orders, delayed deliveries, and material shortages, and escalate issues to the reporting manager.
• Ensure procurement documentation is maintained accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist with vendor evaluation, price negotiations, and cost-reduction initiatives under supervision.

Drone Industry Components

The candidate will gain exposure to sourcing components such as:

• Flight controllers, GPS/GNSS modules, sensors, and IMUs.
• Brushless motors, ESCs, propellers, and motor mounts.
• LiPo batteries, battery management systems, chargers, and power distribution boards.
• Electronic components, PCBs, connectors, wiring harnesses, and communication modules.
• Carbon-fiber frames, aluminium parts, fasteners, and other mechanical components.
• Cameras, payloads, telemetry systems, and other UAV accessories.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and email communication.
• Basic understanding of purchase orders, quotations, invoices, and inventory management.
• Willingness to learn about drone components, electronics, and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 0–1 year of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or vendor coordination. Freshers are welcome.
• Good communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Basic knowledge of drones, UAVs, robotics, electronics, or aerospace components.
• Familiarity with ERP or inventory management software.
• Understanding of BOMs (Bills of Materials), part numbers, and technical specifications.
• Basic awareness of supplier lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and quality requirements.
