Associate Laboratory Operations Technician

About the Role

The Associate Laboratory Operations Technician for Lumigen, a subsidiary of Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, is responsible for assisting in the formulation of chemiluminescent reagents for clinical diagnostic testing. The role also involves assisting in the synthesis, purification, and analysis of organic molecules. This position reports to the Manager Reagent Manufacturing and is part of the Lumigen Production Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with chemists to produce formulations from less than one liter to multi-thousand-liter quantities.
• Conduct performance testing of completed formulations following written procedures.
• Assist in the synthesis and purification of organic molecules.
• Conduct analytical testing following written procedures.
• Maintain inventory, reagents, and other lab consumables.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Associate of Art’s (AA) degree in Science or a related field.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Maintain batch record keeping to ISO 9001 standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Very strong ability to utilize analytical thinking.
• Very strong ability to multitask effectively.

Qualifications

Previous experience in:

• Manufacturing, laboratory, or production setting.
• Mechanical/technical work.
