About the Role
- Type: Full Time Internship
- Duration: Summer 2027 (starting May 24th)
- Location: Trek Waterloo HQ, Waterloo, WI
- Number of Positions: TWO ID Interns
What You'll Do
As an Industrial Design Intern, you will be immersed in real-world product development and design challenges. You will collaborate with experienced designers and cross-functional teams to bring innovative ideas to life.
- Assist in the design and prototyping of bicycle components and systems.
- Support sketching, CAD modeling, rendering, and design reviews.
- Support rider research and early brainstorming of future mobility ideas.
- Ride bikes to help test and validate designs.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Design.
- Strong sketching and storytelling skills.
- Experience building, assembling, and testing prototypes.
- Familiarity with CAD software (Onshape and Rhino or Blender ideal).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for bicycles and interest in product design.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping or fabrication is a plus.
