About the Role
The Gardener is a full-time, on-site role responsible for the daily care and upkeep of the property’s gardens and landscaped areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing routine gardening tasks such as planting, pruning, trimming, weeding, mulching, lawn care, and pest control.
- Ensuring healthy plants and a neat appearance throughout the year.
- Monitoring and maintaining irrigation systems and watering schedules.
- Maintaining soil health.
- Assisting with small garden improvements and seasonal changes in layout or plant selection.
- Inspecting outdoor areas regularly.
- Reporting issues such as plant disease or equipment problems.
- Keeping tools and workspaces clean and safely stored.
- Working primarily outdoors, following agreed schedules.
- Collaborating respectfully with the household and any other staff on-site.

Qualifications

- Knowledge of Irrigation systems, watering techniques, and soil care.
- Ability to safely use and maintain common gardening tools and equipment.
- Understanding of local plants, seasonal care requirements, and basic pest and disease control.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor manual work in varying weather conditions.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience in a similar gardener or groundskeeper role.
- Basic literacy to follow instructions and schedules is beneficial.
