About the Role
VHB is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to launch your career and join our dynamic and growing Structures group in our Raleigh, NC, Charlotte, NC, or Atlanta, GA office. This position is for individuals graduating in 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Support all aspects of transportation-related structural design and engineering projects under the direction of senior staff.
- Assist in field work.
- Prepare plan sets.
- Perform design calculations.
- Assist in detailing.
- Assist in the preparation of construction documents.
- Participate in the structural design of transit and highway structures from conceptual to final design.
- Participate in site visits to collect data necessary for preliminary design.
- Assist in drafting of project details and plans using Microstation, AutoDesk, or other CAD software.
- Preparation of quantity calculations and cost estimate.
- Assists in preparing contract documents and specifications.

Qualifications
