AI Tutor, Applied Math
SpaceX Super Intelligence
About the Role
In this role, you will help enhance Grok by providing high-quality data annotations, labels, and inputs focused on applied mathematics. You will draw on your expertise in areas such as numerical analysis and scientific computing, ordinary and partial differential equations, probability and applied statistics, computational linear algebra, and mathematical physics or mathematical biology to evaluate model outputs, identify modeling errors or numerical issues, and produce clear, rigorous solutions and explanations. This role requires strong mathematical writing skills, attention to precision, and the ability to maintain logical consistency throughout complex mathematical arguments. Your work will help train Grok to distinguish flawed or inadequately justified approaches from solutions that are mathematically sound, accurately modeled, and practically applicable.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate model outputs, independently verify mathematical solutions, identify subtle errors in reasoning, modelling, or numerical computations, and produce clear, rigorous, and technically sound solutions and explanations.
- Use proprietary software applications to annotate and label data for designated projects.
- Support the delivery of high-quality, accurate, and well-curated datasets that meet project standards.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop and train new tasks, contributing to the successful development and implementation of innovative technologies and initiatives.
- Work closely with technical staff to improve the design, functionality, and efficiency of annotation tools and workflows.
- Solve problems across applied mathematics domains aligned with your expertise, including probability, statistics, numerical analysis, optimization, operations research, dynamical systems, data modeling, and related fields. Develop detailed solutions and critically evaluate AI-generated responses.
- Interpret, analyze, and execute tasks accurately in accordance with established guidelines and project requirements.
