About the Role
SpliceHause is a creative media company seeking a Video Editor for a remote internship. This role supports the full post-production process for various video projects, transforming ideas into engaging visual narratives.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and manage footage.
- Edit video content according to briefs.
- Assemble rough and final cuts aligning with brand and project guidelines.
- Assist with color correction and color grading.
- Perform basic sound cleanup.
- Add motion graphics or visual elements to enhance storytelling.
- Collaborate with producers and designers.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders.
- Maintain consistent file management and version control.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Core production skills including Video Production.
- Basic understanding of on-set or remote content capture workflows.
- Post-production skills including Video Editing.
- Video Color Grading using common editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro).
- Visual design skills including Motion Graphics and Graphics to create titles, lower thirds, transitions, and simple animated elements.
- Ability to follow creative briefs.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a remote setting.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong visual storytelling ability.
- Openness to constructive feedback.
- Familiarity with file formats, codecs, and basic audio editing is beneficial.
- Enrollment in or completion of a relevant program (film, media, communications, design) or equivalent self-taught experience is an advantage.
