The Cloud Computing Intern role at Weskill is a remote internship designed for individuals interested in building foundational skills in cloud technologies and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, deploying, and testing basic cloud-based solutions under the guidance of experienced mentors.
• Set up and configure cloud resources.
• Support documentation of cloud architectures.
• Monitor performance and costs.
• Help troubleshoot technical issues.
• Participate in learning sessions.
• Contribute to collaborative projects.
• Follow best practices for security and reliability in cloud environments.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Cloud Platforms: Foundational knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Infrastructure: Interest in cloud infrastructure, networking, and storage.
• Operating Systems: Basic understanding of Linux/Windows.
• Programming/Scripting: Basic understanding of scripting or programming concepts.
• Version Control: Basic understanding of version control tools.
• Familiarity (Plus): Fundamental security concepts, virtualization, or containerization (such as Docker or Kubernetes).

Qualifications

• Ability to research technical topics, follow documentation, and learn new tools and services quickly.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a remote, team-based environment.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage time and tasks in a remote internship setting.
